A

MRI

Lumbar puncture - oligoclonal bands

Visual evoked potentials for optic neuropathy

What may you find on examination?

A

UMN, therefore increased tone, weakness, hyperreflexia, poor coordination

Speech may be slurred

EYES - Pale optic disk or INO - one eye is slower to adduct or nystagmus - patient will se double. Lesion of medial longitudinal fasciculus

RAPD - early sign
