Assessment criteria
A
- Introduction: Name, pronouns
- Ask client: name, pronouns
- Wash hands
- Explain the assessment, inspection, palpation
- Ask for consent
- Inform client they can stop at any time
- Verbalize general assessment - no signs of distress, positioning, posture, symmetry, safe to proceed
