Name given to permanent neurological problems resulting from damage to the brain around the time of birth (from before birth to less than 1 month after birth) .

What is Duchenne’s muscular dystrophy?
A genetic disease causing muscle weakness and wasting.
Duchenne’s muscular dystrophy only affects boys. True/false?
True, however girls can be carriers.
What manoeuvre can be used to assess Duchenne’s?
Gower’s manoeuvre - Gower’s sign is when children with proximal muscle weakness use a specific technique to stand up from a lying position.
