What is rx of childhood absence seizures?
valproate
ethosuximide
What is prognosis of absence seizure?
most outgrow it
10% have GTC as adults
when does BECTS usually occur?
night or early morning
What dos child complain of in BECTS?
tingling facial feeling
drooping
drooling (can look like a stroke)
What is panayiotopolous syndrome?
focal seizure syndrome (occipital) prominent autonomic features
What are features of pan syndrome?
pallor vomiting pupil dilatation sweating breathing changes
when does JAE start?
9-12yrs
