Q
What is the difference between low dose and high dose epi?
A
Epi has a greater affinity for B-adrenoreceptors than alpha—> (but stimulates both B and A)
** At low doses epi binds preferentially to b-adrenorecepors—causing increase in HR, inotropy, and dromotropy while causing vasodilation
** higher concentrations of epi—> further increase in HR, inotropy, chronograph and now cause vasoconstriction
