A

Between anterior cerebral/middle cerebral, posterior cerebral/middle cerebral arteries. Damage in severe hypotension : upper leg/upper arm weakness, defects in higher-order visual processing.

Regulation of cerebral

perfusion

A

Normally driven by Pco2, but also by Po2 with
severe hypoxia.

Therapeutic hyperventilation (decreases Pco2) helps decrease ICP in cases of acute cerebral edema (stroke, trauma).
