(2) Strength to withdraw
(3) Behavior reaction to stimulus
(4) No crossed extensor reflex
What nerve are you testing for the extensor carpi radials reflex?
Radial nerve
What type of reflex will you see with the extensor carpi radialis reflex?
extension of the carpal joint
What is the order with the loss of neurological function?
- Conscious proprioception
- Voluntary motor function (control of urination and dedication)
- Superficial pain sensation
- Deep pain sensation
What are the three types of ataxia?
- Sensory
- cerebellar
- vestibular

PPA or Bethanecol
What are you going to see with peripheral vestibular disease?
- No CP deficits or paresis
- No depression
- facial n. paralysis +/- Horner’s syndrome
- Nystagmus (horizontal/rotary) but doesn’t change with head movement + eyes move together
What are you going to see with central vestibular disease?
- Tetra/hemiparesis
- Depression (RAS)
- other cranial nerves affected (facial n.)
- Nystagmus (horizontal/rotary + vertical) and can change with head movement + eyes can move in different direction
