What is a LAN?
A local area network.
What’s a WAN?
A wide area network.
What’s a NIC?
A network interface card.
What’s a wirless network?
A network connecting to you through radio and micro waves.
What’s a wired network?
A network connected by physical wire.
What’s a coaxial?
A wire with a copper outside to help protect.
What’s a fibre optic?
A glass set of cables which transmitts media very fast.
What’s transmition media?
The stuff that goes in side wifi , wired , coxial and fibre optic
What is UTP?
A low cost twisted wire.
What is a stand alone computer?
No WAN or LAN.
What’s a network?
Two or more computers connected.
What’s internet?
The Internet is a global system of interconnected computer networks.
What’s a peer to peer server?
computing or networking is a distributed application architecture that partitions tasks or work loads between peers. Peers are equally privileged, equipotent participants in the application. They are said to form a peer-to-peer network of nodes.
What’s a client server?
denoting a computer sysetm in which a central server provides data to a number of networked workstations.
What’s a hub
The central part of a wheel, rotating on or with the axle, and from which the spokes radiate.
What’s bandwidth?
The amount of up and download speed you have.
