Network Theorems Flashcards
1
Q
State Kirchhoff’s first law.
A
Current Law:
The Sum of the currents flowing into a junction is equal to the sum of the currents flowing out of that junction
2
Q
State Kirchhoff’s second law.
A
Voltage law:
The algebraic sum of all the EMF’s in a closed circuit equals the sum of the voltage drops.
3
Q
State Superposition Theorem.
A
in any linear multiple-source network, the resultant current in any branch is the algebraic sum of the currents that would be produced by each source acting separately
4
Q
State Thevenins Theorem.
A
Any two-terminal network containing resistances and sources of EMF may be replaced by a single source of EMF(Vₜₕ) in series with a single resistance(Rₜₕ)
