Q

MAC address filtering

A

media access control (MAC) filtering
- unique hardware value given to a network card in a computer
- allows only devices with a specific MAC address on the NIC to join the network (or refuse devices with a specific MAC address)
-not commonly used as can easily be spoofed/tricked
