A
The layer that provides data routing paths for network communication. Data is transferred in the form of packets through logical network paths in an ordered format controlled by the network layer. Attaches source and destination IP address for routing.

Internet Protocol -The principal communications protocol in the Internet protocol suite for relaying datagrams across network boundaries.

A
Identifies the location of a device on the Internet. Routes individual packets form source to destination via routers.
