A

anterior thigh , medial leg and foot

19
Q

Sciatic L4-S3

A

20
Q

meninges

A

vertebral canal; protect Brain and spinal cord

21
Q

Where does the spinal cord extend from ?

A

forearm magnum and occipital bone to the 1st and 2nd lumbar vertebrae

22
Q

What is the function and structure of gray matter ?

A

H- letter shaped :dorsal =horns enables individuals to control movement memory and emotions

23
Q

What conducts, process, and send nerve signal up and down the spinal cord?

A

White matter (myelinated axons and dendrites interneurons )

24
Q

Ascending

A

impulse to brain

25
Q

Descending

A

impulses away from brain

26
Q

What are the functions of the hypothalamus ?

A
  • produce ADH ( kidney reabsorb H2o back into blood and maintains volume) & oxytocin(contraction uterus for L&D)
  • releasing hormones GH stimulates anterior pituitary gland secret growth
  • regulate body temp and food intake and body rhythms
  • integration of ANS regulate organs
  • stimulate visceral response during emotional situations
