Femoral nerve
Anterior abdominal wall as it passes under the Inguinal ligament
Femoral triangle
Can be during abd and ER during vaginal deliveries
Results in weakness in knee ext and hip flx
Sensation of medial knee/anterior thigh
Obturator nerve
Obturator foramen
Trauma- child birth, pelvic trauma/surgery
Weak adduction
Sensation of medial thigh
Saphenous nerve
Adductor canal
Knee pain
Piriformis syndrome
Sciatic nerve under piriformis
Common fibular (peroneal) neuropathy
Around the fibular head, popliteal space
Fibular neuropathy (superficial branch)
As it passes through the deep fascia of the antero lateral leg to become subcutaneous
Can occur with inversion ankle sprains
Fibular neuropathy (deep)
Anterior compartment
Ski boot syndrom (anterior tarsal tunnel syndrome) Deep fibular (peroneal)
At the ankle likely from tight fitting shoes
Provides motor to the EDB and EHB
Sensation to the web space between the great and 2nd toes
Tarsal tunnel syndrome
Medial/lateral plantar nerve
Compressed at the ankle
Sural nerve
Cutaneous as it passes through the deep investing fascia of the leg or tight boots
Meralgia parestherica
Lateral femoral cutaneous nerve
ASIS as it passes under the I guitar ligament
