Q
How do NSAIDS cause kidney damage?
A
- Inhibition of prostaglandin production
- Prostaglandins help to vasodilate
- Lack of prostaglandins = nothing to counter vasoconstrictive signals from the body in renal blood flow
- Constriction of renal arterioles lead to ischaemic damage and tubular necrosis
