Define tumor
Abnormal Uncontrolled gross of cells characterized as malignant or benign
What terms do you need to look up first in the alphabetic index and are not found in the neoplasm table
Melanoma, mass, lipoma, cyst, polyps, eponyms.
Benign neoplasm
Usually non-threatening abnormal cell growth also known as a non malignant tumor
Ca in situ
Neoplasticism cells that are undergoing malignant changes that are confined to the original epithelium site without invading surrounding tissues
Contiguous
Two adjacent sites
Encapsulated
Enclosed or surrounded by a capsule
Malignant neoplasm
Life threatening, uncontrolled abnormal growth of cells. Also called a cancerous growth.

Form and structure of a cell.
Neoplasms of Uncertain Behavior
Exhibits the characteristics of both benign and malignant behavior after pathological investigation
Tumor
An uncontrolled abnormal growth of cells and characterized as malignant or benign.
Also known as a new neoplasm
Carcinoma
Malignant cancer of the epithelial cells of connective tissue
Lymphoma
Malignant Cancer of the lymph nodes and immune system
Leukemia
Malignant Cancer of the blood forming organs
