When the aircraft is established at a safe altitude, in a safe configuration, the non-incapacitated flight crew member, with assistance, should:

A

“TILT” seat back
“MOVE” seat full aft, rudder pedals full fwd
“MOVE” head back
“USE” shoulder harness
“REMOVE” (When practicable) , and “REPLACE” (if possible) with another FCM

° Tilt the incapacitated flight crew member’s seat back; and

° Move the seat full aft and move the rudder pedals full forward; and

A

i. A non-incapacitated flight crew member shall assume control of the aircraft and ensure a safe flight profile is maintained; the first priority of the non-incapacitated operating flight crew member is to maintain the safe operation of the aircraft; and

ii. The autopilot shall be engaged; and

iii. The non-incapacitated flight crew member shall request the flight attendants (or a flight deck jumpseat occupant) to assist. If a PA announcement is required to alert the cabin crew, the Urgent Communication Procedure shall be employed; and

iv. When the aircraft is established at a safe altitude, in safe configuration, the non incapacitated fight crew member, with assistance should : (Tilt>Move>Move>Use>Remove & Replace)

v. If a crew incapacitation results in a non-normal crew compliment at the control for landing, the flight shall land at the nearest suitable airport

  4. Any time an employee feels there is a potentially safer or more efficient eat to execute a task or complete an assignment in the interests of operational safety.

Cabin Crew Post-Incident Debriefing

A

Shall be given by PIC as soon as practicable after any significant operational incident (e.g., severe turbulence, rejected take-off, mechanical problems, etc.)

Shall also be conducted following a request by the In-Charge flight attendant

The following should be considered

On board once all pax & non-crew members have vacated the air craft / quiet room or location (if on board not possible)

Conducted within reasonable timeframe so the details are not distorted or forgotten

Open and honest communication - encourage crew members to recount their version of the event

Do not lay blame

Raise any concerns regarding Soaps

Ensured all crew members understand what transpired during the event

Ensure well-being of all crew members

If necessary, encourage all crew members to contact their families, managers and associations, as necessary
