What are the functions of the thyroid and parathyroid glands?
Thyroid - Release thyroid hormones -> involved in protein synthesis, setting BMR, growth and maturation of CNS, cell respiration, long bone growth, etc.
Parathyroid - Release parathyroid hormone -> INCREASES BLOOD CALCIUM!
Which muscles are innervated by the accessory nerve (CN11)?
Sternocleidomastoid and trapezius
