5 NM for props and non-jet aircraft (cruise speed 179 kt or less)
Mixed types: arrival aircraft will determine the cutoff
May be applied once aircraft is airborne
Diverging courses or visual separation

IFR Arrival/IFR Arrival: NCT must ensure the first arrival has crossed the runway threshold prior to the second aircraft reaching

Mixed types: the highest performing aircraft’s, or largest mileage, must be used

Advise NCT when an aircraft cancels IFR or executes unplanned missed approach
SVFR Procedures - Tower must
Instruct all SVFR aircraft to remain at or below 2,000 while in Salinas Class D
Ensure SVFR operations are complete prior to an IFR arrival reaching the FAF inbound
VFR Procedures - NCT may/must
NCT may transfer data via the ARTS automated hand-off feature or modify VFR data blocks to the tower symbol within the ARTS Quick-Look Region
NCT must transfer communications of VFR aircraft at least 7 NM from the airport and within the Tower’s Quick-Look Region
VFR Procedures - Tower will/must
Workload permitting, Tower will issue a local transponder code and departure frequency to all VFR departures requesting radar advisories. Ensure that a NAS flight plan is entered on aircraft that will exit NCT airspace.
Aircraft inbound to King City (KIC) must be issued a local code
