How many times can you retake NC exam?
no more than 4 times in a 12 month period
no more frequently than every 60 days
When does 12 month period start?
on date of letter notifying approval of credentials
What happens if do not pass after 4th attempt or after 12 months?
must totally reapply
What happens if you do not appear for exam within 4 months after approval to take?
deemed to have failed
can take test within next 4 months without reapplication
if do no appear in next 4 months than must reapply
Who can supervise?
LP, permanent
employed by the state since before 12/31/79; provided that supervision was already part of job
Who cannot supervise?
when deemed incompetent/not qualified

Can someone with a history of disciplinary or remedial action supervise?

failure to cooperate with other psychologists/professionals to the extent that it has the potential to do harm to the patient;

Does a psychologist need to keep records of work with ancillary records?
Yes of work completed and must be kept for 7 years
