The Nazis used democracy to destroy itself. They didn’t use force or violence to seize control of the government, they manufactured a campaign which led to significant support and then used violence and intimidation as well as Goebels propaganda to influence their support.

How did the Nazis seize power? (literal)

Answer 2

They used the Reichstag fire as an opportunity to suspend trials when arrested and began to blame opposition in order to be the most significant party left standing. As well as this, they used the vulnerability of many young men after the war and economic issues to nurture anger towards the Weimar government.
