German Labour Front
Was created, which gave German workers security of work and wages and ensured regular breaks
KDF (Strength through joy organisation)
German workers benefited from leisure programs such as the KDF, provided cheap holidays - to achieve these benefits workers had to give Nazi state total loyalty
Autarky
German economy aimed to achieve self-sufficiency (autarky)
Opponents of Nazis were forced out of work
Women, Jews and opponents of Nazis were forced out of work, and over 500,000 people were imprisoned in concentration camps to allow work for Aryan Germans
National Labour Service
Unemployment further reduced by introduction of National Labour Service. All men aged between 19-25 had to work for the government for 6 months

Workers were kept under control by the abolition of trade unions and the setting up of the Nazi controlled DAF
