What happened June 3-5, 1942?
The battle of Midway. Huge naval battle involving 4 Japanese carriers and 3 US carriers. USS Yorktown sunk all four Japanese carriers sunk.
What happened 13-15 November 1942?
Battle of Guadalcanal. Sullivan brothers aboard USS Juneau all killed. Marines held on with meager supplies and ammo and took the island. Thus lessening the threat to Australia.
What is a GAU-21?
.50 caliber automatic machine gun. It is air cooled, pneumatically operated and has a rate of fire of 1150 rpm.
What is ORM?

What is a Class A mishap?
Property damage of $2,000,000 or more/ death or permanent disability.
What is a class C mishap?
Damages in excess of $50,000 but not greater than $500,000. Injuries that result in 5 or more lost work days .
What is a class B mishap?
Damages greater than $500,000 but less than $2,000,000, or injury with permanent partial disability or three of more personnel are inpatient hospitalized.
What is a thermocouple?
A junction of two dissimilar metals that produce voltage when heated.

It makes sure there are no shorts/breaks in the wire.

Designed to stop tricycle landing gear equipped aircraft not equipped with tail hooks.

Conducted to inspect for defects to a greater depth than the turnaround inspection. Good for 72 hours without flying.
What is PMI?
Periodic Maintenance Interval.
