Define Supernatural Dimension
Of or relating to things that cannot be explained according to natural laws; caused by God or Gods; exceeding the ordinary. Different religions have their own unique responses to the exact nature of the supernatural dimension
Polytheistic Religions + Examples
Multiple Gods – Gods that control particular happenings in Nature
Examples: Ancient Greece and Hinduism
Monotheistic Religions + Examples
Only one God has a relationship with the humans. God has neither form nor gender
Examples: Judaism, Christianity, Islam
Define Transcendent
Religions that believe in a divine being or entity beyond the limitations or comprehensions of humans. transcendent religions believe nature and humans are a reflection of God’s creation
Define Immanent
Beliefs that the divine beings live within and are a part of every individual within the known universe. Immanent religions believe they are god (every living thing is God)

What is religion
Religion has contributed to individuals and society throughout human history by attempting to answer the fundamental questions of human existence. Religion provides humans with an understanding to these questions, and helps to construct meaning, provides ethical guidance, and provides a sense of belonging.
How does Religion give individuals guidance”?
Give an example:
Religion gives individuals guidance in life through complex ethical systems and sacred texts which they can draw on for wisdom. Religious beliefs contribute to an individual’s sense of self, and understanding and belonging.
For example: Martin Luther; A man who’s religion guided him ethically to make changes.
