What do the terms omnipresent, omniscient, omnipotent and omnibenevolent mean?
Everywhere all of the time
All knowing
All powerful - able to do anything
All loving
How does Islam view god?
Transcendent - other, distant, far off.
Genderless, never fully knowable. Described in the Qur’an with 99 names.
What does the term Tawhid refer to?
Oneness of Allah.
What does the term monotheistic mean?
Believing in one God.
What does the term polytheistic mean?
Believing in multiple Gods.
What does the term henotheistic mean?
Worshipping one god but not denying the existence of others.
What does it mean to anthropomorphise a God?
Refer to them using human terminology, e.g. hand of god. This is commonly practiced in Christianity.
Islam does not do this, as they believe it desegregates his nature.
What is the Christian trinity?
Father, son, Holy Spirit.
Why do Muslims believe Christianity shouldn’t be considered a monotheistic religion?
Worships 3 persons, father, son Holy Spirit.

What is a Demi god?
Half god.
Why is Allah never drawn?
Should not be given a physical form, he is beyond physical form.
What role does the Holy Spirit play in the trinity?
Inspires scriptures.
Gifted to believers in Jerusalem
Advocate before god.
Comforter.
What is Brahman?
The ultimate source.
When the universe is destroyed, with its gods and goddesses, everything returns to Brahman.
This is called reincarnation.
Many Hindus believe brahman has revealed himself through thousands of lessor gods and goddesses. In worshiping them, they are worshiping brahman.
They may not believe these gods actually exist. They are more visual aids to help them understand something of Brahman.
