The primary precepts are:
1) preserve innocent life

Q

What is the double effect?

10m&15m

A

It recognises that acts have good and bad effects.
A act with bad effects is only allowed if:
1) the bad outcome might have been foreseen but not
intended
2) The act is not intrinsically wrong - internal and external factors
3) The good effect is sufficient enough - proportionalism
