Interior/Exterior acts
Interior - the intention behind the action
Exterior - the action in itself
It is possible to have one good and one bad, for Aquila’s it is necessary for acts to possess both a good exterior and interior
Doctrine of Double Effect
Focussed on intention to show that an intended outcome is “good” even tho a secondary precept is broken
For example: giving a terminally ill patient sufficient drugs to relive his pain inadvertently kills him, the death was an unintended side effect of a good action
