The airports were damaged.
How was Haiti’s response different?
It is an LIC, so it had to get assistance from other countries.
What had Haiti suffered from beforehand?
They had suffered from 2 hurricanes in 2004 and 2008.
Why was the earthquake larger than usual?
3 million people lived in Port-Au-Prince which was close to the earthquake. Because of this, the seismic waves didn’t have to travel as far.

The coast of West Africa.
