Skip change of step
Hop LF step RF to 4th position (& 1)
Close LF to 5th rear position and step RF to 4th pos(& 2)
NOTE: 4th Intermediate may be substituted for 4th position; refer to description within dance for position used. This can also be executd with the LF
Holding of the skirt for girls
The skirt is held between finger and thumb of each hand
Bourree Devant
Three small steps on the balls of the feet traveling to the side away from the starting foot. The foot positions are 5th position, towards 2nd and 5th rear (front side front)
1 & 2
Bourree Derrière
Three small steps on the balls of the feet traveling to the side away from the starting foot.
The foot positions are 5th Rear, towards 2nd, 5th Rear
(behind side behind)
1 & 2
Bourree Under
Three small steps on the balks of the feet traveling to the side away from the starting foot.
Positions are 5th Rear, towards 2nd, 5th Position
Behind Side Front
1 & 2
What is the note for all three types of Bourree?
Any of the three bourrees may be proceeded or finished by an extension to 2nd aerial low.
Method used must be consistent roughing the step.
Hop and Travel
Hop LF extending RF towards 4th Intermediate Aerial Normal
Bending the knee bringing RF halfway b/w 4th-Int & 3rd Aerial (1)
Place RF on half point on 4th-Int. position (&)
Close LF on ball to 5th Rear (2)
NOTE: Can be danced using 2nd and Forward 2nd - refer to description in the dance for position to be used
Entrechát
A movement of elevation began in 3rd or 5th
Whilst elevating the legs change to beat and land same foot in front
(And a 1)
