NAT Flashcards
1 of 6 kingdoms: MONERA
prokaryotes, single celled, asexual reproduction, can self-feed or feed off dead matter.
2 of 6 kingdoms: ARCHAEABACTERIA
prokaryotes, single celled, can exist under extreme conditions,
3 of 6 kingdoms: FUNGI
unicellular or multicellular heterotrophs. mushrooms, yeast (unicellular) or mold. Multicellular heterotrophs has mycelium.Fungi doesn’t undergo photosynthesis because of leaking chlorophyll.
4 of 6 kingdoms: PROTISTA
consists of unicellular and multicellular eukaryotic organisms. Eukaryotic cells have a nucleus. there are 3 groups of protista; protozoa, algae, slime and water mold. they can be autotrophs, saprotrophs or heterotrophs.
5 of 6 kingdoms: PLANTAE
eukaryotic, multicellular organisms that consists of cell walls. this kingdom includes flowering plants, conifers, ferns and mosses. All are photosynthetic green plants containing chlorophyll. They are autotrophs, and nonmotile.
