Something in detail
Metaphors
A figure of speech applied to an object or action, not literally. Eg. “It’s raining cats and dogs
Similes
Comparing something to another with similar meaning. Eg. As brave as a lion
Personification
Describing an object or thing similar to a human eg. The trees were waving
Imagery
Describing a scene or setting vividly, showing the reader an image
Hyperbole
Over exaggerating something, making it sounds worse/better than it is
Symbolism
How an object place or thing is symbolic for somethingelse
Repetition
The repeating of words or phrases, bringing more attention to an idea
