A
Irritant: red rash on buttocks
Fungal: concentrated in skin folds

Yellow crusting/weeping

OTC failure >1 week

Trreatment
A
Barrier protection - drapolene, sudocrem
Antifungal
- Clotrimazole (canesten)
- Miconazole (daktarin)
Apply 7 days after clearing to prevent returning

Advice
A
Change nappied asap
Leave nappy off to allow skin to dry
Avoid waterproof nappies bc worsen rash
Wash area thoroughly w water/wipes
