King Eurothius ordered him to kill a lion in Cleonae. He choked it to death.

The Lernean Hydra;
The beast had 9 heads, from which one was immortal. He was assisted by his nephew Iolaus. After fulfilling the labour, the king claimed that this didn’t count as his nephews had helped him. An 11th Labour was added.

Heracles had accidentally shot his old teacher Chiron, who was immortal, so he would be forever in pain. Zeus took pity, taking Chiron’s spirit and brought it to the heavens.

Made to clean King Augean’s stables with only his hands within a day. He made sure a canal flooded the stables, washing away the filth.
The King refused to count this as a labour, as Heracles had been promised a third of the cows.

Man-eating birds. Athena helped him, giving him a tool to shake which caused the birds pain.

The King sent him to Crete, where King Minos would give him his next labour. Poseidon had turned the bull mad, destroying everything. He wanted Heracles to capture the beast.
