My Bike Flashcards
Acceleration
Acceleration is the change in velocity per second.
Acceleration is measured in m/s/s or m/s2 or ms-2
Acceleration = change in velocity divided by time.
Attract
Two forces are drawn together. eg. Magnets
Balanced Forces
Forces are pushes or pulls. They are measured in newtons.
Deceleration
Opposite of acceleration.
Distance
The extent or amount of space between two things, points, lines, etc.
Energy
The capacity for vigorous activity; available power
Electrostatic force
Electromagnetism is the study of the electromagnetic force which is a type of physical interaction that occurs between electrically charged particles.
Force
Forces are pushes or pulls. They are measured in newtons.T

Force field
A protective barrier.
Friction force
Surface resistance to relative motion, as of a body sliding or rolling.
Gradient
An inclined surface; grade; ramp.
Gravity
The force of attraction by which terrestrial bodies tend to fall toward the center of the earth.
Lubricant
A substance, as oil or grease, for lessening friction, esp. in the working parts of a mechanism.
magnetism
The properties of attraction possessed by magnets
