a sequence of single notes that is musically satisfying; a tune

When notes are beside each other

When the words are set one note per syllable

When something repeats itself
Sequence
A type of repetition where the melody is repeated in a different pitch. The pitch can ascend or descend
Rhyhtm
The pattern of short or long notes
Ostinato
A pattern that repeats
Time signature
It is a set of two numbers at the start of a piece. The top number tells you how many beats per bar and the bottom tells you the length of each beat
Simple Time
where the bottom number is 4 or 2 Each beat can be sub divided into two.
