it is a set of ten small tuned gongs mounted in a
wooden frame. Their gongs are generally of equal
diameter but different thickness, making thicker
gongs produce more higher pitch.

characteristic rattle effect.

an hourglass-shaped drum, whereas it
has two varieties the smaller (kotsuzumi) and the
larger (otsuzumi). These are used in both Noh and
Kanbuki performance.
