Abduction
Mvmt of body parts away from the midline
Adduction

Inversion
Turning the sole of the foot inward

Turning the sole of the foot outward
Elevation
raising a body part(shoulders)
Depression
lowering a body part
Flexion
Bending a joint or decreasing the angle
Extension
Straightening a joint; increasing the angle
Hyperextension
Straightening a joint beyond it normal ROM
Dorsiflexion
bending your ankles so your toes are up
Plantar Flexion
bending your ankle so your toes are pointing down
Rotation
mvmt of a body part around its longitudinal axis
Pronation
turning the palm of the hand dorsally
Supination
Turning the palm of the hand ventrally
Circumduction
Rotation of the limb in a circle
Opposition
Approximating the thumbs to each finger
Ataxia
without coordination
Hemiparesis
half of the body weakly paralyzed
