I- It band & IT band inserts to Gerdy’s tubercle
A- Flex the hip, medically rotate the hip

O- Thoracolumbar aponeurosis
I- Various attachments at the posterior ribs, spinous & transverse processes of the thoracic & cervical vertebrae, and mastoid process
A- Extend the vertebral column, lateral flex vertebral column to same side
Suboccipitals
O- TVP of C1, SP of C2
I-Inferior nuchal line of the occipit
A- Rotate head & neck to the same side, laterally flex head & neck to same side
Splenius Capitus
O- Inferior one-half of ligamentum nuchae, and spinous processes of C7-T4
I- Mastoid process, and lateral portion of the superior nuchal line of the occiput
A- Rotate the head & neck to the same side, laterally flex head and neck to the same side
Fibularis Longus
O- Head of fibula, and proximal two-thirds of lateral fibula
I- Medial cuneiform and base of the first metarsal
A- Evert the foot, and assist to plantar flex the ankle
QL
O- Posterior iliac crest
I- The last rib and TVP’s of L1-L4
A- Laterally tilt the pelvis , Laterally flex the vertebral column to the same side
Pec Maj
O- Medial half of the clavicle, sternum, and costal cartilage of ribs 1-6
I-Crest of the GREATER tubercle
A- Medially rotate the shoulder, adduct the shoulder
Traps
O-External occipital protuberance, medial portion of superior nuchal line, ligamentum nuchae, spinous process C7-12
I- Lateral one-third of the clavicle, the acromion, and spine of the scapula
A- Upper fibers elevate the scap
Middle fibers- retracts the scap
Lower fibers- depress the scap
Tib Ant.
O- Lateral condyle of the TIBIA, proximal; lateral surface of the TIBIA, and interosseous membrane
I- Medial cuneiform and base of the first metarsal
A- Invert the foot, dorsi flex the ankle
Extensor Carpi Radialis Brevis
O- Lateral epicondyle of the humerus
I- Base of the third metacarpal
A- Radially deviate the wrist, extend the wrist
External Oblique
O-EXTERNAL surfaces of the 5th-12th ribs
I- anterior portion of the iliac crest, abdominal aponeurosis to linea alba
A- Flex the vertebral column, laterally flex the vertebral column to one side
Soleus
O- Soleal line, proximal; surface of the tibia, and proximal head of fibula
I- Calcaneous via calcaneal tendon
A-Plantar flex the ankle
Lats
O- Inferior angle of scap, spinous processes of T7-T12, last 3 or 4 ribs, thoracolumbar aponeurosis, and posterior iliac crest
I-Intertubercular groove or the humerus
A- adduct the shoulder, medially rotate the shoulder
Flexor Carpi Ulnaris
O- Medial epicondyle of the humerus, posterior surface of the proximal two-thirds of the ulna
I- pisiform, hook of hamate, and base of the 5th metacarpal
A- Ulnar deviate the wrist, flex the wrist
Rectus Abdominis
O- Pubic crest & pubic symphysis
I- Cartilage of the 5th, 6th, 7th ribs and zyphoid process
A- Flex the vertebral column, posteriorly tilt the pelvis
Gastrocs
O- Posterior surface of femoral condyles
I- Calcaneous via calcaneal tendon
A- Plantar flex the ankle, flex knee
Teres major
O- Inferior angle & lower 1/3 of the lateral border of the scapula
I- the crest of the Lesser tubercle of the humerus
A- Adduct the sh., med. rot. the sh.
Pec Minor
O- Ribs 3,4,5
I- medial surface of the coracoid process of the scapula
A- Depress the scapula, PROTRACT* the scapula (* this mm. Is in the front)
