spinal muscles are uniquely arranged, and the limb muscles can be distinquished individualy.
What are the spinal muscle mostly composed of?
numerous bands interwoven with muscle fibers.

erector spine
transversospinalis
splenii, and
suboccipiatlis
How many branches does the erector spinae group have?
three, and it lies superficial.
where does the transversospinalis group lie?
deep to the erectors
Where are the few splenii muscles located?
along the posterior neck, and deep to TRAPS.
Where are the sub-occipitalis muscles located?
base of head
Where are the transversospinalis located within?
lamina groove
Where do the erector spinae extend from?
tip of the spinous process to the body of the rib
What muscles are flexors in the vertebral column?
rectus abdominus, external oblique, internal oblique, psoas major, and iliacus

longissimus, iliocostalis, quadratus lumborum, and Lat. Dorsi
