Infraspinatus
Laterally rotates and adducts arm
Lattissimus Dorsi
Extends, adducts, and medically rotates arm
Levator scapulae
Elevates scapula
Subscapularis
Medially rotates arm
Supraspinatus
Assists to abducting arm
Teres major
Extends, adducts and medially rotates arm
Trapezius
Elevates/ depresses scapula, middle portion adducts scapula, extends head
Pectoralis major
Adducts, medially rotates arm as a whole. Clavicular head only flexes arm, sternocostal extends arm.
Pectoralis minor
Abducts scapula, rotates it downward
External intercostals
Increase thoracic diameter
Serratus anterior
Abducts scapula and rotates it upward
Diaphragm
Flattens to increase length of thoracic cage
External oblique
Bilateral contraction flexes column, compresses abdomen.
Unilateral contraction laterally flexes and rotates column
