I: coracoid process of scapula
A: draws scapula forward and downward
N: medial pectoral nerve
Internal Oblique
O: inguinal ligament, iliac crest
I: linea alba, ribs 10-12
A: flex vertebral column and compress abdominal wall. rotates and laterally flexes trunk
N: intercostal nerve
Transverse Abdominis
O: inguinal ligament, lumbar fascia, iliac crest
I: linea alba and pubic crest
A: compresses abdominal content
N: intercostal nerve
Rectus abdominis
O: pubic crest and symphyses
I: cartilages of ribs 5-7, xiphoid process
A: flexes and rotates lumbar regions of vertebral column
N: intercostal nerve
Sternocleidomastoid
O: manubrium of sternum and medial portion of clavicle
I: mastoid process of temporal bone, superior nuchal line of occipial bone
N: accessory nerve (CN XI)
External Intercostal Muscle
O: inferior border of rib above
I: superior border of rib below
A: pulls ribs towards one another to elevate ribcage
N: intercostal nerve
Internal intercostal Nerve
O: superior border of rib below
I: inferior border of rib below
A: draws ribs together and depresses rib cage
N: intercostal nerve
Pronator Teres
O: medial epicondyle of humerus, coronoid process of ulna
I: lateral radius
A: pronates forearm

O: medial epicondyle of humerus
I: palmar aponeurosis (fascia of palm)
A: tenses skin and fascia of palm during arm movement

O: pubis
I: linea aspera on posterior aspect of femur
A: adducts, flexes and medially rotates thigh

Gracilis
O: Inferior ramus and body of pubis
I: medial surface of tibia
A: adducts thigh, flexes and medially rotates leg
N: obturator nerve
Adductor Magnus
O: ischial and pubic ramus and ischial tuberosity
I: linea aspera and adductor tubercle of femur
A: adducts and medially rotates and flexes thigh
N: obturator nerve
Fibularis Longus
O: head and upper portion of lateral fibula
I: under foot to 1st metatarsal and medial cuneiform
A: plantar flexes and everts foot
N: superficial fibular nerve
Infraspinatus
O: infraspinous fossa of scapula
I: greater tubercle of humerus
A: rotates humerus laterally
N: suprascapular nerve
Supraspinatus
O: supraspinous fossa of scapula
I: greater tubercle of humerus
A: initiates abduction
N: supracapular nerve
