P: superior 2/3 of iliac fossa Ala of sacrum and sacroiliac ligaments

A: hip flexion and stabilise hip
Pectineus
P: superior ramus of pubis
D: inferior to lesser trochanter, posterior superior femur
I: femoral nerve
A: adduct and flexes the hip
Sartorius
P: anterior superior iliac spine
D: anterior aspect of medial condyle of tibia
I: Femoral nerve
A: Synergist for hip flexion, abduction, lateral rotation and knee flexion
Rectus Femoris
P: anterior inferior iliac spine
D: quadriceps tendon- tibial tuberosity

A: hip flexion and knee extension
Vastus Medialis
P: intertrochanteric line and medial lip of linea aspera of femur (medial aspect of the vertical posterior aspect of femur)
D: quadriceps tendon, patella, patellar tendon-tibial tuberosity

Vastus intermedius
P: anterior and lateral surfaces of shaft of femur
D: quadriceps tendon, patella, patella tendon tibial tuberosity

P: greater trochanter and lateral lip of linease aspera (vertical line on posterior aspect of femur)
