A

D poured petrol through womens letterbox who he had a grudge with, lit it and drove off, child died in fire.
2 part test: if d was aware it was highly probably that the act would result in serious harm or death, even if he did not desire the result he would still be guilty of murder- changed from high probability test to virtual certainty at around this time
