Composite
A number with more than two factors; One and itself.
Prime
A number with only two factors; One and itself.
Squared
A number that has been multiplied by itself one time.
Power
A power is the product of multiplying a number by itself numerous or just one time(s).
Prime Factorization
Taking a composite number and breaking it down to it’s prime factors.
Base
The number under the power that is told how many times to multiply itself.
Cubed
A number that has been multiplied by itself three times
Exponent
The little floating number that tells you how many times to multiply the base by.
Powers of Ten
A number like 10, 100, 1,000, and so on. It is the result of using only ten as a factor.
Distributive Property
To multiply a sum by a number, you can multiply each addend by the same number and add the products.
