Individualist Integration
Institutional adjustments for migrants or minorities as those of individual claimants and bearers of rights as equal citizens.
Multicultural Integration
The processes of integration are seen as two way, different for different groups and individuals, to create a new national identity, where all citizens have not just rights but a sense of belonging to the whole, as well as to their own group identity/identities.
Assimilation
The processes affecting change and the relationship between social groups are one way, with minorities adopting the values, customs and beliefs of the majority.
Segregation
Multiculturalism has led to ethnic and religious groups becoming increasingly separated.
Cosmopolitan Integration
The maximum freedom for minority, as well as majority, individuals, to mix with, borrow and learn from all cultures.
