Assimilation
Putting your own culture or religion aside in order to adopt the values of the majority culture in a country.
Self-segregation
the separation of groups in a society by choice
Prejudice
preconceived opinion that is not based on reason or actual experience
Open-minded
having the ability to consider other perspectives and trying to be empathetic to other people
Genealogy
the study of families, family history, and the tracing of their lineages
Colony
A territory where a group of people live, but keeping ties with the mother country
