Q
What is the Multi-Store Model (MEM)
A
- We recieve sensory input which is stored in sensory memory (raw sensory input such as sound and taste).
- If we pay attention to the sensory memory, it gets transferred to short-term memory. Otherwise it will be forgotten.
- If the information is not rehearsed, it will be forgotten, but otherwise, it will be transferred from short-term memory to long-term memory. To retrieve information from long-term memory, it must travel to short-term memory.
