The night were angel Jibril delivered a message to Muhammed whilst he was meditating in a cave and told him there is only one God and people who worship different Gods have distorted the message.
Why did Muhammed leave Mecca with his followers and travel to Medina?
Leaders of Mecca did not like the message Muhammed was preaching and became unhappy with him
How did Muhammed unite Medina into a single community
1) wrote a formal constitution that all people in Medina would be protected against an outside attact.
2) encourage the spread of the religion through marriage and by offering protection, he built up community spirit and opened his house for prayer.
How did Muhammed deal with the threat from Mecca
He united all the people of Medina to stand together against the threat, he trained all his followers and made alliences to keep Medina strong.
