What is the James system

A vehicle
B vehicle
Trailer
C vehicle
A : tracked or wheeled armoured vehicle
B : tracked or wheeled land vehicle ( most raf vehicles come under this)
Trailer : a vehicle drawn by a motor vehicle
C : tracked or wheeled item of earth moving equipment
What are the feet designations
And what are they
White fleet- commercial vehicles with little or no mods
Green fleet- vehicles specifically designed to fulfil an operational role
Yellow fleet- powered mobile materials handling equipment
Where are definitions for the different levels of maintenance for MT policy found

Levels of maintenance and what are they
Level 1: carried out by driver( oil levels )
Level 2: carried out by GTM or GTE personal( changing tyres )
Level 3: beyond unit MT capacity and requires specialist work
Level 4: normally repairs or specialised repairs beyond level 3 capability
MT maintenance periodicity
Lubrication : 6000 miles
Minor maintenance : 12,000 miles
Major maintenance : 24,000 miles
Area maintenance: carried out when vehicle is not available for long periods
Out of phase maintenance: maintenance that doesn’t fall in line with the above
