Glycogen becomes glucose
Glucose becomes Glyceraldehyde-P
Glyceraldehyde-P becomes Glycerol-P or Pyruvate

Glycerol-P becomes Triacylglycerol **NON reversible process
Triacylglycerol become fatty acids which become Acytyl-Co A

Pyruvate becomes Acetyl-Co A

Acetyl-Co A becomes ketone bodies which can be made into pyruvate and pumped back into gluconeogenesis

Only happens in starvation state so that the brain can get glucose.
