Sensation: medial foot and leg to the end of the great toe
Reflex: quadriceps (patellar tendon reflex)

Entrapment would be at L3/4 disc

Deviate foot up and in for tibialis anterior

Muscle: extensor hallicus longus
Sensation: dorsum of the foot and back of the heel
Reflex: medial hamstring (not usually done)

Entrapment would be at L4/5 disc

Flat foot on table and ask them to raise big toe against pressure to test extensor hallicus longus

Muscle: Fibularis longus and brevis (superficial fibular nerve)
Sensation: outside of the foot to the end of the little toe
Reflex: Achilles reflex

Entrapment would be at L5/S1 disk

Foot down and out and apply pressure in opposite direction to test fibularis longus and brevis
