Muscle: deltoid (axillary)
Reflex: biceps (Musculocutaneous)
Dermatome (R)
Entrapment would be at C4/5
C6
Muscle: biceps, wrist extensors (deep radial)
Reflex: Brachioradialis, radialis (radial)
R: (dermatome)
Entrapment would be at C5/6
C7
Muscle: triceps, wrist flexors (median/ulnar)
Reflex: triceps (radial) (axillary for lateral head of triceps)
R(dermatome)
Entrapment would be at C6/7
C8
Muscle: finger flexors (median and ulnar)
Reflex: finger flexors
R(dermatome)
Entrapment would be at C7/T1
T1
Muscle: interossei, PADs & DABs (ulnar)
Reflex: none
entrapment would be between T1/T2
L4
Muscle: Tibialis anterior (deep fibular nerve)
Sensation: medial foot and leg to the end of the great toe
Reflex: quadriceps (patellar tendon reflex)
Entrapment would be at L3/4 disc
Deviate foot up and in for tibialis anterior
L5
Muscle: extensor hallicus longus
Sensation: dorsum of the foot and back of the heel
Reflex: medial hamstring (not usually done)
Entrapment would be at L4/5 disc
Flat foot on table and ask them to raise big toe against pressure to test extensor hallicus longus
S1
Muscle: Fibularis longus and brevis (superficial fibular nerve)
Sensation: outside of the foot to the end of the little toe
Reflex: Achilles reflex
Entrapment would be at L5/S1 disk
Foot down and out and apply pressure in opposite direction to test fibularis longus and brevis
